GESHA COFFEE BEANS ROASTED GROUND
Geisha coffee, which is actually “Gesha” coffee, falls in the category of what one would call the most “expensive coffee.” Gesha is grown at high elevation, which we all know is ideal, on the tallest mountain in some Mexican States like Chiapas and Veracruz.
There’s a certain difficulty in harvesting this bean, too, which certainly factors in, but any bean grown at high elevation can claim the same. It’s a low-yielding variety, which immediately tacks some extra dough on the price tag — it’s a classic supply and demand issue.
Of course, learning how to grind coffee beans yourself, whether you’re looking for a coarse French Press grind, or a finer espresso grind can be a rewarding experience in more ways than one. Really, there are two main rewards; one is learning a new skill, and the other benefit is fresh, delicious coffee you’ve made yourself! Plus, you save money by making coffee at home.
Well, maybe not, but at least it will put a few things into perspective where suddenly you will know if your local barista has been trained or not.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we still need to learn how to grind those beans.
Eventually, with practice, we know you’ll be preparing cups of black gold that can make the best barista in town’s coffee taste like dishwater.
