JALAPENO CHILE POWDER 11 LBS CASE

Jalapeno Powder (pronounced “ha-lay-pain-yo”), Capsicum annuum, is also called jalapeno chili powder, jalapeno pepper powder, or ground jalapeno pepper. Jalapeno powder is a bit hard to come by and is from dried green jalapenos. Jalapeno peppers are the most common chile pepper used in the U.S., with a gentle pungency but noticeable heat.

While most fresh jalapenos are picked when they are still green in color, a select few are left on the plant until they are fully ripened at the end of the season. At this point, the peppers have matured to a deep crimson red and are then typically (but not always) harvested, dried, and smoked.

A medium-heat chile coming in between 2,500 and 8,000 SHU, green jalapeño powder can be used to add medium heat to your chili, soups, stews, salsa, and guacamole. Sprinkle into your taco meat, cornbread, egg dishes, and anywhere else you want to add an earthy flavor with a sharp heat.

Jalapeno Powder can add a bit of kick to chili, chicken, seafood, and seasoning blends. Jalapeño Chile Powder makes it easy to add the bold, spicy flavor of classic jalapeño chiles to any recipe, from stews and chili to spice rubs and cornbread. Jalapeños have a medium heat level and are widely used in Southwestern cuisine.
